Growing potted plants and environmentally conscious entrepreneurship go hand in hand.
At our nursery, this high quality goes hand in hand with an eye for the environment. For example, we hardly use any gas. At Berckenrode in Honselersdijk, we are one of 56 companies that receive their heat via Trias Westland. Hot water is pumped up 2.3 kilometres below the earth's surface to heat greenhouses. And especially to minimise the use of fossil sources. Biological crop protection is increasingly taking the place of chemistry.
